THE KINGPIN CENTERPIN REEL

The Kingpin centerpins are designed, machined and hand-assembled in the United Kingdom by K & W Engineering to high-precision military tolerances and flawless quality. The Kingpin reel offers exceptional balance, low torque spin via dual stainless steel shielded abec 5 roller bearings. Kingpins have a unique radial-positioned clicker lever. which is easily engaged for rigging, and is rigid enough to hold-firm during transport riverside. All Kingpins, with the exception of the Classic come fully ported (additional porting in the base and inner wall of spool where the line rests) this promotes extra-lightness when handling the reel. A solid back plate deters debris and grit interference between the spool & plate. All Kingpin models are backed by a three-year parts warranty.

Gold Series Centerpins -These are Kingpins top of the line, depicted as models Sovereign 478, Royalty 478 , Regal 450 and Regency 378 ...what do the numbers mean? 478: 4 7/8", 450: 4 1/2" or 378: 3 7/8" depicts overall spool diameter of each model. All models come fully ported as described above to promote lightness of the reel. Special extraction tools for any maintenance included.

Bronze Series Centerpins -There is only one model in this series, depicted as the Classic 450. This model traces the roots and evolution of the Kingpin dynasty, as was originally refered to as the Arnold King Pin. Thie reel is elegantly engineered and simple, excellent choice for all anglers on a budget. Robustly built and fitted with upgraded ABEC 5 stainless steel bearings. A true workhorse! Model Description:
Sovereign: 478 ....Spoke porting on the face of the spool, known as the kingpin 5" inch. This model is best suited for steelheaders looking for fast retrieve of longer drifts, fishing medium to large size rivers and added balance for longer rods.

Royalty: 478 ....Traditional Finger bore porting on the face of the spool. With the Royalty you have the advantage of being able to use your fingers in the holes for line retrieval. The Royalty centrepin reel is identical in size/design to the Sovereign model with difference only to the look of the spool face.

Regal: 450 ....The Regal possesses the same rigorous specification standards as the 4 7/8” reel with a lower cost and measures slightly smaller diameter drum at 4.5" This model is the most popular with anglers that may have smaller hands. Every reel in the Gold Series has fittings made of premium quality brass, hand-polished to the strictest standards and treated with special protective oil that penetrates the metal, guarding it for longer from the elements. Like the Royalty, the enlarged hole design allows the option of easy line retrieval with the fingers. The edges are perfectly radiused to eliminate the chance of cutting your finger.

Regency: 378 ...This may be the the smallest reel on the market. Traditional finger bore ported spool. Look into this reel, when pairing-up with a 9 -11ft float rod, hiking to smaller creeks and tribs with tight overhanging branches, and targeting steel or summer float-drifting for residents, brookies and browns.

Classic: 450 ...Elegantly engineered and simple, this reel is great for all anglers on a budjet, and is very robust, fitted with upgraded ABEC 5 stainless steel bearings and is a true workhorse answering all demands put on it.

OKUMA SHEFFIELD SIRATA CENTREPIN REEL-Model SRT 1002-

The New Okuma Sheffield Sirata centerpin has all the features of it's close relative, the Okuma Sheffield S1002, but with the exception of one key feature ...a new and innovative Center-Disk Drag System. This system allows you to fight fish without having to pressure-lock the spool with your fingers as in traditional centerpins. It's easy to use, first by setting the drag on the reel, and keeping in the off position while casting and drifting. Upon hooking as fish, just turn to the on position to engage for fish control. This Drag works flawless, exerting line in a smooth-even manner and with loads of fish-holding power to spare upon loading the drag. All drag system mechanisms are comprised of all metal components (visible) i.e. clicker assembly, sprocket, anti-re lever and capsulated which should minimize grit interference in the field.
