ISLANDER SEARUN FLOAT REEL - Islander Precision Reels has resurrected the classic Searun Center Pin float reel. The new Searun is similar in look and operation to the original, but that is where the comparison ends. Technology over the years has improved dramatically, resulting in a sophisticated centre-pin reel with the precision engineering that is expected of Islander. The spool spins on a stainless steel spindle lust like the IS Steelheader in either free-spool or click-drag mode, engaged by a radial rear-position lever-clicker resting at about 2-3 o'clock on the plate when looking at the face of the spool. This allows the user to toggle with ease between free spool or clicker mode with a minimum of errors. When the click-drag is engaged, it provides a minimal amount of drag when playing a fish and offers no -/+ drag-tension adjustment to fight fish, but is verry beneficial when rigging setting up etc.

Clicker Lever Position Selection? If you hold the rod with your right & retrieve line with your left hand Select a Left Hand lever position. Right Hand Lever position should be selected when you retrieve line with your right hand & hold the rod with your left. In both of these selections the clicker Lever will be at the rear of the reel foot at 3 o'clock when looking at the face of the spool.
Alternatively and opposite the standard positions above, the Islander Searun may also be fished with the clicker lever position sitting forward of the reel foot, as common with English Made Centerpin Reels. Therefore for right handed line retrieve, select Left Hand and for left handed line retrieve select Right Hand.

ISLANDER MR3 SALMON MOOCHING REEL The Islander MR3 is Islander's latest entry into the premier salmon mooching reel field. It is result of years of research and development based upon the input of dealers, guides, and pro-staff. Single action reels have long been the choice of most experienced guides and premier lodges on the west cost of British Columbia. Throughout its history, Islander has gained a reputation for longevity and reliability across the fishing community.
Continuing in the Islander tradition of the single action reel, the MR3 utilizes Islander's impressive silky smooth drag system. Drag is supplied by a large 3-inch clutch, which uses a double pawl system for positive clutch lock up. The drag is adjusted from the spool side, hence the nickname "Knuckle-buster" which happens if the angler is not quick enough moving their hand when the fish makes a run for freedom.
The large sculptured drag knob makes for comfortable use under all conditions. A wide range of drag adjustment allows the angler to choose just the right amount of pressure to subdue even the most ambitious finned adversary. Incorporated into the reel are three large, fully sealed stainless steel ball bearings. The MR3 incorporates a large arbor spool for quicker line pickup; this also eliminates the need for the use of backing as filler. Oversized handles are very user friendly and there also flat, paddle style handles available as an option. Every MR3 reel comes with a 2 year warranty against manufacturing defects.

There is no free-spool lever on the MR3.

KINGPIN CENTERPIN REELS
KINGPIN IMPERIAL- The 2nd generation Imperial centerpin reel has all the features of the original model, but with the exception of a new knurled front spindle bolt as opposed to the original slotted type and a variety of two-tone color combinations as shown. Available in spool diameter of 4 3/4" (475) or 4 1/4" (425) each model has porting on the spool face for lightness while maintaining a solid back plate. The reel is quality engineered, yet simple, has a rigid clicker able to hold your rigging during transport riverside. The Imperials are finished with a hard coat anodizing which is durable and tough to scratch.Not all colors, clicker positions, options and or combinations may be be available in our stock at time of us receiving your order, in which case your reel may be delivered to your door direct from our supplier. The New Okuma Sheffield Sirata centerpin has all the features of it's close relative, the Okuma Sheffield S1002, but with the exception of one key feature ...a new and innovative Star Drag System. This drag system allows you to fight fish without having to pressure-lock the spool with your fingers as in traditional centerpins. It's easy to use, first by pre-setting the drag on the reel, and keeping in the off position while casting and drifting. Upon hooking as fish, just turn to the on position to engage for fish control. This Drag works flawless, exerting line in a smooth-even manner and with loads of fish-holding power to spare upon loading the drag even more if needed via the star lever. All drag system mechanisms are comprised of all metal components (visible) i.e. clicker assembly, sprocket, anti-re lever and all are capsulated which should minimize grit interference in the field.
